Gameplay Enhancements

Ranks: Rare, Support

Fire Chao grant the summoner the ability to walk on fire blocks and they reduce damage from all cold sources. This Chao gives the player the following stats or abilities:

Damage + 8% When damaging enemies, has a chance to set them ablaze.

This Chao grants the player bonus stats when in the Underworld:

Damage from Vanilla Fire related Weapons + 10% This Chao loses all of its stat bonus' when interacting with rain or water sources.

When summoned, this Chao grants the player a Fire Shield that burns enemies on contact.

Obtainability

This Chao will join your adventure if you give your Chao 80 Charred Fruit and 120 Living Fire Blocks.

Playability

This Chao is playable with no custom sounds.

While playing as a Fire Chao, a blazing trail will follow behind you and burn enemies.

Color Variants

This Chao has 50+ different colored variants to choose from.

Chao Behavior and Lore

Fire Chao are extremely curious and friendly Chao. Unfortunately, they're always on fire and they burn just about everything they touch.

Fire Chao hate going in the water but if you put a Fire Chao in the water, the flames around their body will go out and they'll become tired until they relight the flames after a few minutes.

Fire Chao are usually only kept by specialized gardeners who can properly take care of them and their garden because Fire Chao tend to accidentally set gardens ablaze in seconds.

You can purchase special gloves from the Black Market Chao in order to pick up and carry Fire Chao.

Fire Chao can't swim because of their quick exhaustion when their flames are put out and they can't learn to read or write because they set books and most writing tools on fire.

Fire Chao excel at Chao karate because their fire makes attackers take damage and their fiery punches deal extra damage.

Fire Chao love to burn their fruit to a crisp before eating it so they'll carry it around in their hands or put it on their head for awhile until it's nice and charred.

Gardeners can help them speed up the process by throwing fruit into a furnace for them but even if they don't, Fire Chao love the activity so it doesn't matter to them.

Chao Creation History

Fire Chao weren't always called Fire Chao, they used to be called Flame Chao and there used to be only one of them in the mod. Fire Chao were created with Angel Island Zone Act 2 in mind.
