Baby Sand Chao are a Common Harvester Support Chao.

Baby Sand Chao will gather 1 - 6 Sand Blocks for the player over a small period of time, and it grants a +2 block reach buff. If this Chao becomes submerged in the water, the players defense becomes 0. If a Sand Chao is summoned in the rain, the players defense is increased by 4.

Obtainability

You can obtain the Baby Sand Chao by giving your Chao of choice 100 Sand Fruit.

Tiers & Functionality

Sand Chao is a Rare Offensive Harvester Support Chao.

Sand Chao will gather 1-12 Sand Blocks for the player over a small period of time and it grants a +4 block reach buff.

Obtainability

You can obtain the Sand Chao by giving your Baby Sand Chao 400 Sand Fruit.

Tiers & Functionality

Neutral Sand Chao are a Rare Offensive Harvester Support Chao.

Neutral Sand Chao will gather 12 - 20 Sand Blocks for the player over a small period of time and it grants a +6 block reach buff.

Occasionally, this Chao will rapidly spit collected sand at enemies that cause the Slow and Suffocation debuff.

Obtainability

You can obtain the Neutral Sand Chao by giving your Sand Chao of choice 600 Sand Fruit.

Color Variants

This Entire Chao species has no color variants.

Chao Lore and Personality

Sand Chao are very friendly Chao that aren't common anywhere outside of Desert Gardens because of they get sand everywhere.

These Chao are made of something that looks like real sand and they have the texture of wet sand.

When these Chao want to fly around the garden, they'll look for a spot and throw up sand in it until it's their desired height and then take off as if they were going up and down on a slide. While these Chao have the texture of wet sand, they usually don't enjoy swimming in bodies of water.

Sand Chao aren't very good at learning abilities but they make up for that with defense and power, being able to carry certain objects by increasing their arm length and strength.

These Chao have complete control over their bodies and tend to mimic the bodies other Chao or Gardeners to tease, entertain or play with them.

Chao History

The Sand Chao species has secretly been in Chao Island for a long time, but it wasn't coded into the game or made obtainable for a long time after its creation.
