Chao Garden: Pride Chao

Stats & Functionality

Pride Chao are a Unique, Support Chao that have scaling stat bonuses as you progress through Terraria.

While this Chao is summoned, it changes the health bar to a pride theme.

Pride Chao's stats increase with every boss defeated.

Pride Chao grant immensely increased damage from any rainbow related vanilla items, growing with every boss defeated defeated.

Pride Chao grant increased minion capacity depending on how many bosses have been defeated. Pride Chao leave a trail of glitter and rainbow light behind them as they fly. Pride Chao occasionally create a rainbow barrier around the player that shields them from one hit before going on cooldown.

Obtainability

Pride Chao can only be obtained during Pride Month from the Black Market Chao by following the recipe below.

You can obtain this Chao by giving your Chao 10 Rainbow Fruit which is made with 1 Fruit, 40 Rainbow Hair Dye, 40 Pixie Dust and 40 Souls of Light.

Variants

There are no other variants of Pride Chao in existence right now, but we are open to recommendations.

Chao Lore and Personality

Pride Chao are extremely colorful Chao that spend their time dancing and celebrating their uniqueness in the garden, often encouraging others to join them. Whenever a Pride Chao prepares to start dancing, singing or coloring in the garden, nearby Chao rush over with excitement to join them. At Chao Kindergarten, Pride Chao excel at singing, dancing, drawing and creativity.

They're very good at making new friends due to their cheerful and fun personality.

Chao History

Making a multi-colored Chao was incredibly difficult for me, but when this Pride Month came around, I didn't want to miss the opportunity to show support in the most adorable way possible.
